Signature Bake: The Classic Domino’s Margherita… with a Twist
Every baker needs a solid foundation, and for us, that’s the classic Margherita. But this isn’t your average red, white, and green. Oh no. We’re channeling our inner Prue and adding a touch of sophistication. Think San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil grown in Mary Berry’s (imaginary) garden, and a drizzle of truffle oil. Why not?
Technical Challenge: The Domino’s Calzone Calamity (or Triumph!)
This week’s technical challenge is a tricky one: the Calzone. It’s a folded pizza, a pocket of cheesy goodness, but it can easily become a soggy mess. Our bakers are facing the heat, battling with dough elasticity and filling distribution. Will they achieve the perfect balance of crispy exterior and molten interior? Or will they fall victim to the dreaded doughy disaster? We’re thinking of a spicy chicken and chorizo calzone with a side of garlic and herb dip. Perfection!
Showstopper: The Pizza Spectacular
The Domino’s showstopper is where the bakers truly shine, showcasing their creativity and skill. And for our pizza spectacular, we’re pulling out all the stops. Imagine a multi-tiered pizza masterpiece, each layer featuring a different flavor combination. Perhaps a BBQ chicken base with a peri-peri drizzle, followed by a vegetarian layer with roasted vegetables and goat cheese, topped with a pepperoni and jalapeno explosion. It’s a pizza party on a plate!
